SoundSchools.com

SoundSchools.com is the historic home of New Ears: The Audio Career and Education Handbook. Two editions of New Ears were published in 1990 and 1993. They were unique, comprehensive guides to vocational schools, colleges, and universities offering audio engineering, music technology, sound recording & production, sound design, and live sound, as well as other audio education programs. The books listed hundreds of resources, including textbooks, journals, magazines, websites, research centers, trade organizations and more. Both editions of New Ears were well received by the audio industry and helped thousands of students navigate their way to an audio education and career. In 1996, author/editor Mark Drews relocated to Norway from the USA to lead the Music Production & Recording program at the University of Stavanger. Though SoundSchools.com has been a bit quiet since then, plans are in the works for an updated audio education and career resource. We'll keep you posted...
